Corten, A Survey Navigation System
5
The most important quality of the subject photographed
which determines exposures and development is its maximum
and minimum brightness. We have as yet no instrument to
measure these. In consequence usual procedures are based
extensively on guess.

3. Survey navigation functions performed.
Navigational functions can be performed by using basic flight elements in a systematic
way.
3.1 Absolute flight altitude is established and strictly adhered to by means of barometric
altimetry applying all appropriate corrections: this determines photo scale and line spacing.
