The operating airport was Beira, 750 Kms away from the 
head office in Lourengo Marques, and at a distance of 250 Kms from the 
center of the area flown. This mission lasted 8 days which, owing to 
the metereological conditions of the area, has to be considered rather 
fortunate. 
Although the films were developed in Lourenpo Marques a 
small gap occurring between strips 1 and 2 could be reflown immediately 
by cabling the geographical coordinates of the filling strip ends. 
It must be said that the existing aerial photography 1/50.000 
as well as the good references in the river simplified the execution 
of the photo coverage very much. Thus, the low percentage of rejected 
photography can be understood.
