4. Analog aerial triangulation, compilation 
The instrument system developed by Wild for analog triangulation 
and detail compilation consists of the A9 Wide Angle Autograph 
and the B9 Aviograph. Since only relatively short descriptions 
of these instruments are to be found in published uorks - (4), 
(5) - more detailed descriptions are given here. 
The Wild A9 Wide Angle Autograph (Fig.l) is the universal 
instrument in the Wild programme of ultra uide angle eguipment. 
Its design is based on the rigorous solution of the restitution 
problem uith mechanical reconstruction of the bundles of rays. 
The principle of frontal observation used in all other Wild 
plotters has also been retained. Although primarily intended 
for triangulation from successive pairs of reduced diapositives 
of near-vertical ultra uide angle photographs, it can also be
