The instrument is designed for laterally-correct viewing 
and plotting of negatives of a useful size of 80 mm x 
80 mm. The ranges of movement in the model, the base 
components and the choice of transmission ratios between 
Autograph and plotting table were selected to the optimum 
for the restitution of the photographic dispositions 
to be expected in short range photogrammetry.
