A. Introduction
Photogrammetry is practically the only surveying method
in todays official mapping in Norway.
Because of more intensity in all planning (town planning,
engineering planning, area planning, agriculture and forestry
planning etc.), the production of maps on all usual scales has
accelerated during the last years. Photogrammetry is also used
as special photogrammetry in geology, archeology, agriculture,
forestry and other special fields.
B. Photography
In Norway photogrammetric mapping is based exclusively
on vertical photography. The cameras used are Wild RC 8.
All aerial vertical photography for mapping is provided
by private firms:
1. Widerpes Flyveselskap a/s and
2. Norfly a/s
under license from the Ministry of Defence.
