X 0 , Y 0 , Z 0 , oj, cp, x provide, in total, thirty unknown quantities. The observations
were given equal weights. The calculation was programmed for the CD 3200*
In the first series the camera station was the same for the four exposures but
the camera was given four different ^-values. In the second series there were
four different camera stations symmetrically located with the camera directed
towards the center of the test field. The convergence of the solution was obtai
ned after five iterations in both cases. The standard errors of unit weight was
7.8 /¿m and 9.2 ¡urn respectively. The computed interior orientation is given in
Table 16 and in Fig. 24. The resulting exterior orientations are given in Table
Table 17. The number of degrees of freedom is 42 in both cases. The radial dis
tortion curves, that were obtained from the computations, are transformed so
that they are located near the r-axis. This changes the camera constants to Ci =
59.990 and c 2 — 59.880 mm. See Fig. 24.
The observations have also been adjusted with the interior orientation defi
ned by the parameters x 0 , y 0 and c, i.e. the radial distortion has not been deter
mined. The same standard errors of unit weight as above were obtained. This
is due to the fact that almost all points have approximative^ the same radius.
The results are shown in Table 18.
