Aerial camera and projector adapted to the microscope, to make
easier the junction between triangulation strips. The images of these
junction points are projected into one of the eyepieces, to make them
identified, and have their homologous images sighted without error in the
new strip.
Automatic equipment for measuring and registering coordinates on a
printing or tape-punching machine; this system incorporates Ferranti
gratings measuring directly the motions of the carriages, without any
connexion with the controlling pieces, therefore operating with permanent
accuracy, being independent of mechanical wear.
Panel showing at any moment the position of the carriages, and giving
the coordinate with an accuracy of two microns.
Stereotopograph Type DA with Electric Coordinatograph and Automatic
Registering System. The well-known SOM D4 is shown in London with
new equipment consisting of:
Automatic registering and printing system of the coordinates.
A new electrically controlled Coordinatograph. This equipment makes it
possible to do a very large drawingi 1000 mm. x 1000 mm.) on a ground
glass of same size, illuminated from underneath. Readings on verniers
to 1 /20th of millimetre.
Sterephot. This second order plotting instrument was exhibited as a
prototype in Stockholm, in 1956.
It is now manufactured in an ultimate design. Its optical-and-mechani-
cal principle for reconstitution of the perspective rays results in a really
simple construction.
The Sterephot is particularly efficient, owing to the possibility it gives of
setting the photographs in place and carrying out plotting and drawing
very quickly.
It is perfectly adapted to regular plotting at medium and small scales, and
map revision at every scale.
Stereoflex. A new third order plotter which already meets with great
success in many countries in the world.
This success comes from the utmost simplicity and low price of the
Stereoflex, as well as its special feature of giving a plastic image of the
whole pair of photographs.
It constitutes the most highly perfected equipment for quick altimetric
and planimetric plotting at medium and small scales, and geological
mapping. Particularly suitable, too, for training and teaching purposes.
Stand 220 —cont.
Mirror-stereoscope. The type C.3 is an improved SOM model designed
for examination of photographs up to 9 in.x9 in. without any super
position.
Magnification 3-2 x is given by removable binoculars; its main feature:
a rigid frame with removable legs ensuring a permanent adjustment.

Exhibit
Southampton Docks—“The Gateway to the Empire”. A precise photo
grammetric survey undertaken for the British Transport Commission.
The survey on view forms part of the original project which covered the
whole of the old and new docks, at a scale of 1/480 or 40 ft. to 1 in. To
further illustrate the complexity of detail on this type of survey and also
to present an ancillary service we are showing a terrain model of the old
docks, to a scale of 1 : 1250 or 104-166 ft. to 1 in.
Activities and Products
The combined organisations of Meridian Airmaps Limited and Associates,
Le Grand Adsco Ltd. and Site Investigations Ltd., provide a consultancy
and technical service in all parts of the world, specialising in air photo
graphy, photogrammetry, hydrology, geology, geophysics, soil mechanics
and drilling operations.
