NATIONAL REPORT-MEXICO
INTRODUCTION
Since the last International Congress of Photogrammetry, the most signi
ficant happenings in the mexican photogrammetric activities were the - -
institution of the Mexican Society of Photogrammetry, Photointerpretation
& Geodesy and the establishment of the National Bureau for Land Studies
( Comisión de Estudios del Territorio Nacional). The former has - - -
succeeded in reaching a closer relationship among colleagues, mainly du
ring the First Mexican Congress of Photogrammetry which was a success;
for the second one, that shall take place in February of 1973, its' expected
a higher attendance. The latter, three and a half years after its founda- -
tion, is employing more than 1 000 technicians and experts in photogra- -
mmetry, photointerpretation for natural resources, surveying, mapping -
and related fields.
