a. Orthocartograph.
The Orthocartograph consists of three parts:
- stereoplotter of conventional mechanical type,
- optical image transfer system,
- printing unit.
The plate carriers accept photographs up to the
usual size of 24 cm x 24 cm, and the focal distances can
be varied from 85 mm to 215 mm. The magnification ratio
between the aerial photographs and the model varies from
0.8 x 2.2x depending upon the focal distance.
The corresponding image elements of the left and
right photographs are transferred to the two respective
printing drums.
