ACTIVITY IN JAPAN FROM 1968 TO 1972
( Supplement to the International Report of Commission V )
The typical applications belonged to Comm. V in Japan from 1968 to 1972 are
the development of instruments and its accesaries, measurement system and
method to do the precise measurement by short-range photogrammetry which
are now popularly used for measuring of monuments and cultural properties and
for drawing of the accident sites of motorcar and criminal sites related to the
police.
The other developments in this field are the appearance of the new devices of
instruments and measurement means applying to the non-conventional fields such
as Microscope, X-ray, Electro-microscope and Moire topography which are now
popularly accepted in the medical field.

l.1 For short-range photogrammetry
Many stereocameras and plotting instruments for short-range photogrammetry
have been developed. The main devices are as follows :
