Research Programs
Sponsored research has been conducted in the following areas:
USGS - Engineering Uses of EROS, 1970-1974 $113,000
WSHD - Determination of Motion and Deflection
of Retaining Walls 30,000
Cooperative Photogrammetric Studies 58,000

grammetry 20,000
UW - Determination of Biological Growth by
Photogrammetry 2,000
Photogrammetric Measurement Upon the Muscoskeletal
System 120,000
Monitoring of Gabion Walls 34,000
Educational Program
The program stresses the many applications of photogrammetry and
geodetic measurement to transportation, environmental, ocean, and bio-
engineering. M.S. and Ph.D programs in Geometronics offer courses
in photogrammetry (2 credits), geodesy and surveying (14 credits),
remote sensing (6 credits), adjustments (4 credits). Present regis-
tration (1975) is 9 students, and 18 students including three Ph.Ds
were graduated from 1972 to 1975.
