use and effectiveness of these systems. 
What are the Broad Opportunities of Remote Sensing? 
The following illustration and paragraphs are added to aid in the 
understanding of decisions that have been and will be made regarding 
remote-sensing research. 
To address the problem of opportunities it is well to consider the 
interactions and observational opportunities that exist when a beam of
