education and research in photogrammetry did not exist
earlier than about 1920. However, what appears to be
. missing in nearly all countries of the world /and world-
wide/ is a realistic planning /based on projections/and
coordination of photogrammetry education and research
for the future. The number of required graduates at va-
rious educational levels should be determined in each
country, and equally a coordinated national or interna-
tional research program should be set fourth with a list
of realistic objectives and priorities. It is recommen-
ded that the responsible organizations in each country
start as soon a: possible to work out respective educa- -
tion and research programs for the future. o e
