The "Ligure" project envisages two cruises per year in different 
months to cover seasonal variations. 
A program for testing Sea-sat data is also under consideration. 
A suggestion has been made to build up a network of a few meteo-oceano- 
graphie stations in a 20 x 20 km area of the Adriatic Sea, in the vi- 
cinity of oil platforms, offshore and nearshore Ravenna (fig. 1), to 
record, over 2 years time, a series of waves, sea level, currents, tur- 
bidity, temperature, salinity and meteorological data. Cost and bene- 
fits are under evaluation. The eventual realization may be scheduled 
for 1979.
