For decisive answer about applicability and accuracy of the
procedure an experiment is carried out in cooperation between
KISR and Shuaibah Authority (SA). SA are in charge of moni
toring pollution in the industrial Shuaibah Area. They have
their own facilities to measure water quality parameters by
boat. A work plan is arranged so that KISR can measure the
five parameters on board a helicopter while SA measure same
parameters on board a boat conventionally. It is planned
also in this checking experiment to mount another MARTEK
MARK II on board the boat to reveal possible systematic
error due to "calibrated" long cable.
Thus, for the same sample, three values for each parameters
are available, one from airborne MARTEK MARK II, another
from sea-borne MARTEK MARK II and third value from conven
tional determination of parameters. In the following the
experiment is documented and the results listed.
