It needs to be investigated how reliable measurements may be
also made on curving road sections (e.g. curve widening). Here,
on the other hand, we have focused on geometric aspects, and a
minimum of automation has been used. Image processing algo-
rithms for the automatic tracking of vehicles and lane delinea-
tion has to be introduced, to allow wider exploitation of single
uncalibrated images in the present framework.
