4. TEST PHOTOGRAPHING AND EXAMPLES THEREOF
4-1 TEST PHOTOGRAPHING
Because of its limited outlet, the manufacture of infrared films in Japan has made little
headway. However, in 1957 “Sakura Infrared 750" film for miniature cameras was put on
sale by Konishiroku Photo Industry Co. This made it possible to compare photos taken by
the use of the newly produced film with panchromatic photos.

The aerial camera was removed from
the plane and two cameramen, each holding
a camera in his hand, took panchromatic and
infrared photos simultaneously from the hole
where aerial camera was installed. Photogra-
phic data collected at that time are as shown
in Table 2.
