Presented below is an example of the application of aggregation

7. CONCLUSIONS
The compiling and implementation of dedicated routines has
allowed the authors to intervene more effectively on the basis of
original data to obtain generalized geographic data at different
levels of detail as foreseen by the research project. The supports
obtained were intentionally derived in order to obtain a map as
general as possible. However, the necessity of operating on the
data sets, choosing the sequence of operations and assigning
parameters to meet specific needs, with identification of the
final user and the objectives that the supports must reach,
emerged clearly. Moreover, the need to submit both the entire
process and the final products to rigorous quality control was
strongly felt; this is due to the many results that can be obtained
and the lack of specific reference points in the international
scenario. [t was necessary to organize a process control system
and a final verification in order to arrive at the necessary
verification of the geographic datum through application of
appropriate indices of goodness of the work performed.
