Konecny: the papers by Dr. Eales, Prof. Müller and Mr. Haggrén, and also
in the papers by Mr. Kenefick and Dr. Sima, where analytical photogrammetric
methods nave brought an increased capability and interest towards the appli-
cation of photogrammetry, because of the inherent accuracy increase and
because of the automation capability. I think it is obvious that the uses
of applications of photogrammetry in industrial fields are not stagnant, and
that they will continue to grow in the future. And with that I would like
to ask Prof. Wapifiski for a final comment.
Wapifiski: (translated by Konecny)
Prof. Wapifiski states that he would be very interested in the costs that
arose in the various projects that have been discussed. And if you know of
any other such applications Prof. Wapifiski would be very much interested in
knowing about them in connection with the future work of his Working Group.
Linkwitz: Perhaps effort could be quoted in man-hours, machine-hours, com-
putation time and such, rather than costs, since different currencies make
comparisons difficult.
Wapifiski: It is very difficult to make any comparisons. But in order to
be able to make comparisons, one should really state the conditions. You
have mentioned man-hours. Percentage of the effort of various tasks and
prerequisites would also be valuable.
I am very grateful to Dr. Konecny who has so willingly and capably taken
my place as chairman of this session. My sincere thanks.
