THE USE OF LANDSAT DATA FOR LAND-USE DESCRIPTION OF LAKE HJALMAREN'S WATERSHED
Landsat multispectral scanner gata has been used to obtain parameters de-
scribing land use for 4 000 km" large watershed of one of the largest Swedish
lakes - Hjdlmaren. These parameters will be used in a distributed hydrological
model for this watershed, with 107 subcatchments, river and lake system as
computational elements (figures 1 and 2). The data obtained were then compared
to similar data obtained from digitized maps.
