In the long-term process of human environment planning the authorities of 
‘northern Yugoslavian republic Slovenia have decided 20 years ago to cover 
the entire area of appr. 20 000 sq km with different maps. The cartographic 
programm has included the photogrammetricaly elaborated maps in scales TE 
of 1:5000, 1:10000, 1:25000, 1:50000 and renewal of land cadastre on inten- | RE 
sive areas. As the majority of cartographic program is being completed 
the need for additional information base, concerning the human environment 
can be now realised. In order to obtain complete information about status 
of land, a system of minimum land inventarisation has was established 5 
years ago. The system includes following operational phases, schematicaly 
shown in diagram N 1.
