- the existence of the possibility that in the areas covered
by space recordings should be done personal airborne and terrestrial re
cordings and determinations, at the same time or not, with the space ones;
they have the same wave length or not with the space ones; possibly the
airborne personal recordings may be done only under the form of sampling for
some wave lengths.

In order to obtain an informational flow adequate for use and
revaluation of the existing recordings as well as for the design of some
optimum remote sensing systems, it is necessary to do calibration-sampling,
i.e. the operational homogenization of these recordings under two aspects:
geometrical and spectroradiometrical of the multivariate recordings. Thus,
it is not only a calibration but a fitting of the data, processes, beginning
with that of design, approach, data collection, preprocessing, initial-bulk
and precision processing, automatic processing and man-computer interaction;
this should be a chain in the true sense of the word without weak links.

Mainly it comes to the calibration of some existing available
data to reconcile them with the new recordings designed and realizable for
some concrete aims to complete the photo-interpretation-remote sensing
system.

It may be seen from the very beginning that the basic data,
object of the calibration-sampling-homogenization, are sufficiently diverse
and difficult to be fitted. Even within one and the same recording system,
for example the photographic one, this process is sufficiently delicate as
the factors and conditions are very different. From this point of view,
special problems are raised by the multispectral scanning and television
system. The great majority of the last effort was directed to the MSS
system, the photographic one being considered its particular case.

There is a vast literature dealing with this interesting and
delicate problem, its approach in this stage being very different:
