at random. In most cases, tribes or clans have a limited area which belongs
to their sphere of influence and in which they have gardens. In many cases,
after some years the gardens will be planted again on the sites previously
occupied. Thus the subject is restricted to those regions in which there is a
rotation period.
In the investigations concerned it is of little importance whether the people
live in permanent villages or in huts in their gardens during a shorter or
longer period.
