11 CONCLUSION
From the census report it is found that the population
in and near the forest area were 5»99»991» 8,98,264
and 11,73»015 during the y«ar of 1961, 1974 and 1981
respectively. Therefore it is clear that the forest
area Eire deteriorating day by day with the increase
of population. According to the above study it is
evident that the ultimate result from the aforesaid
interference is the severe destruction in the forest
cover, composition and ecosystem. However, if the
biotic pressure increases day by day in the above
manner the forest cover may be eradicated in future.
