The project is in the midst of many activities that are on going.
Hazard teams will continue to refine requirements and
recommendations and update their reports. The project will
consider other hazards on which to focus and will consider the
expansion of the scope of current hazard teams. The landslide
liazard team is just forming and lias no members other than the
Chair. The volcanic hazard team is updating its report to
include non-ash cloud requirements and recommendations.
The project continues to foster involvement of users and
service providers, e.g. professional organizations and the
commercial sector. More complex information tools will
eventually be developed that will help foster integrated data
acquisition strategies that support disaster management
requirements.
The project acknowledges the contributions of its many
members. The success of the project depends on the active
participation of project members and the presentation,
discussion, and summarization of their programs and projects
related to supporting disaster management.
