4. CLOUD PROCESSING AND 3D AUTOMATIC MODELING 
Spider software is a powerful cloud processing tool that allows you to mesh very large data sets (millions of points). 
Spider can read and write most of the standard point cloud formats and is primarily a tool to complete the reverse 
engineering/modeling workflow in association with Alias Wavefront StudioTools products. 
In phase of editing some options are possible: 
• filtering of the mesh in function of dimension; 
• interpolation for the zones not covered from points; 
• smoothing of the surface; 
• production of profiles and automatic extraction of the sections on preestablished directions or according to constant steps along 
the three Cartesians directions.
