Complex Photogrammetric and Architectural Analysis of the Historic Town Center of Tele
477
a) The classical surveying methods
b) The method of analytical aerotriangulation (AAT); in this case the configuration of historical objects in one line on the square
of Tele with minimal overhighting can be used.
3.1 Photogrammetric works
Several photogrammetric technologies will be used according to the object type. The horizontal facades and paintings can be
measured by means of one image photogrammetry. All the objects will be photographed classically from the defined ground basis in
one line (as by the aero-methods). The given row of images can be adjusted (bundle adjustment). For this precise work the images
taken by the camera UMK 10 (Zeiss Jena, planfilm 13x18 cm) were used. The other used cameras were RolleiMetric 6006 (using a
film 6x6) and a digital camera Olympus Camedia 2500L and E10 (with 2.5 or 3.3Mpixel sensor). The use of digital cameras seems to
be very useful and progressive for next years.
3.2 Processing of photogrammetric images
The processing of photogrammetric images will be done by different technologies. The images from RolleiMetric can be processed
on computer with special resection software CDW. The images from other cameras can be processed by different methods. The first
step is digitising of images. In the case of RolleiMetric, a common scanner with 600-800 DPI can be used, for the images from the
photogrammetric cameras it is necessary to scan the original images with high geometric resolution (1000-2000 DPI). The digital
processing of stereoimages uses a stereo-equipment. For this type of processing a softcopy photogrammetric systems ImageStation
SSK and the Czech system PhoTopol are used. Small stations Leica DVP and VSD can be partly used. There are some precise
comparators like Stecometer and Dicometer in the Laboratory of Photogrammetry. Images from the analogue terrestrial cameras can
be pre-processed in the case of Tele by using analytical aerotriangulation for compilation of control points. Special software systems
as an AeroSys, ORIENT or SSK ImageStation for AAT can be used. The creation of digital orthophotos using traditional procedures
seems to be problematic. It will be necessary to purchase a special software system for terrestrial objects.
