L'EXAGÉRATION APPARENTE DU RELIEF DANS L'OBSERVATION DES STÉRÉOGRAMMES. (Communication présentée à la Commission I du VIII° Congrès international de Photogrammétrie.) RESUME. L'auteur propose de résoudre le problème en adaptant les résultats d'une étude physiologique concernant les dimensions apparentes des objets. Il en résulte une formule contenant des paramètres qui sont à déterminer par l’expérience. L'attention est attirée sur la nécessité d’une collaboration des photogrammètres avec les physiologistes de la vision pour obtenir une solution complète. 1. Insuffisance de la solution géométrique. La figure 1 schématise les conditions de la prise de vues; S, et S, sont les points de vue, f est la distance principale de l'appareil photographique. Un point P situé à l'éloignement H donne lieu à un écart parallactique p dans le plan des clichés, donné par p = Bf:H, (1) oü B est la base S, S, de la prise de vues. Une différence d'altitude PQ = dH correspond a une parallaxe longitudinale dp donnée par la différentiation de (1), soit, en valeur absolue : dp = BfH dH. (2) Un élément PR — dX situé dans un plan parallèle aux clichés supposés coplanaires donne sur les clichés une image de dimension du = fH dX. (3) La figure 2 schématise les conditions de l'observation stéréoscopique directe des clichés obtenus; T, et T. représentent les yeux de l'observateur; sa base oculaire est b. — T; T»; elle est supposée parallèle au plan des clichés, et à la distance e de ceux-ci. On appelle s la « séparation », distance des images d'un méme point tel que P. Si l'impression fournie aux yeux est conforme aux régles de la perspective, l'éloignement apparent z du point P restitué est £ -— be: (b—s). (4) Une parallaxe longitudinale dp correspond à une difference de séparation ds — dp, et à une différence d'éloignement dz obtenue en différentiant (4) : dz — be (b—s)— ds; (5) (5) et (2) donnent dz : dH — Bbef [H(b — s)] >.
