Only one hour was finally left for all four papers, so that speakers could not give their fully planned contributions. , During this session about 40 participants were present. It was the rapporteurs general feeling that - as frequently can be seen during similar symposia = 0 the efforts necessary to convert scientific results into practical applications seem not sufficient and possibly not fascinating enough, as however first scientific approaches are. o This may be the reason, why only very few established and generally accepted applications of remote sensing were presented here and elsewhere.
