photographies aériennes 3 pour un rapport donné entre les coûts de ces deux unités de sondage. La recherche concerne l ’épicéa qui se trouve dans une zone forestière de 3000 ha 3 située en Autriche au nord de Salzburg. Deux cas sont considérés : a) le rapport optimal pour la préparation d'une table des volumes 3 b) le rapport optimal pour la préparation d'une table d’accroissement des volumes. Des équations de régression linéaire sont utilisées dans les deux cas. En plus de l’écart-type et des coûts concernant ces deux exemples 3 les deux mêmes quantités sont aussi fournies pour un travail entièrement mené sur le terrain sans utilisation de photographies aériennes. Dans les deux exemples cités 3 la combinaison des travaux sur les photographies et sur le terrain s'est toujours avérée moin chère que la seule prise d’échantillons sur le terrain. Cependant 3 on devra aussi tenir compte 3 pour établir un devis 3 des frais supplémentaires qu’entraînent la photographie elle-même et aussi les avantages qui pourraient résulter de son utilisation ulté rieure 3 pour d’autres buts. L’information obtenue permettra de décider d'avoir recours ou non à des photographies aériennes pour un tel travail. Une fois les tables construites pour les volumes et les accroissements de volumes 3 leur utilisation est toujours beaucoup moins onéreux qu'un travail complet sur le terrain. ZUSAMMENFASSUNG Die Berechnung des optimalen Verhältnisses zwischen Terrestrische- und Photo Stichproben bei vorgegebenem Kostenverhältnis wurde für Fichten für ein 3000 ha grosses Waldgebiet in Schneegattern 3 Oesterreich 3 durchgeführt. Zwei Fälle wurden betrachtet: 1) Das optimale Verhältnis für die Aufstellung einer Massentafel und 2) Das optimale Verhältnis für die Aufstellung einer Massenzuwachstafel. Lineare Regressions formein wurden sowohl für die Massentafel als auch für die Massenzuwachstafel verwendet. Zusätzlich zu den mittleren Fehlern und den Kostenberechnungen wurden auch die zwei Fälle der mittleren Fehler und Kosten für reine terrestrischen Stichproben ohne Verwendung von Luftphotos angegeben. In den angegebenen Beispielen sind die Ausgaben für die Kombination von Photo- und terrestrischen Stichproben immer billiger als für reine terres-
