The work of Commission Vi on Education, trainning and educational standards for photogrammetry, remote sensing, land information sustems and geographic information systems not only .guarantee the smooth scientific continuation but it is essentail for rapide and economic advancement of those fields. How much the symposium will contribute to these important questions it remains to be seen. The indications are promising, and a new stable and creative step may occur.
