Cainozolo fault pattern /Fig.5,8/, It is difficult, 
however, to prove a direot coincidence of these linea 
ments with the elements of even deeper structural 
horizons. They might be, however, indirectly related 
if the Meso-Cainozoio fault pattern corresponds to 
the main dislocations / faults / in Palaeozolo /Fig. 
lia, lio/. . 
In the area examined it seems to be true at least 
in a case of Kock horst antioline. Its general struc 
tural pattern, as well as that of a system of dislo 
cations parallel, transversal and/or oblique to this 
unit, have - to some extent - their homologues in the 
Meso-Cainozoio faulting pattern. 
It is to be stated that the most important faotor 
influencing the radar lineaments pattern /with varia- 
ted intensity in different morphogenetic units/ seems 
to be the teotonios of the Upper Cretaoeous brittle 
rooks i.e. direotly - by simple projection of the 
faults on surfaoe, or indireotly - by the influence 
of sub-Quatemary relief on later sedimentation. This 
first oase of influence seems to be the most distinot 
i.e. easily observable in the remote sensing images 
in the areas of the lithologloally homogeneous surfa 
oe cover /e.g. loess/, less distinot in the lithologi 
cally differentiated surface deposits /e.g. glaoial 
sediments /Fig,10, 11a/. 
6.2 Geologioal interpretation of the Landsat data 
The pattern of Landsat lineaments displays regular 
unoomplioated distribution in the region in question 
/Fig.12/. The maximum density of the lineaments occurs 
in the following areas: the south-western part of Kook 
horst anticline and north-eastern region adjaoent to 
it - the area corresponding to the axial part of 
Stoozek - Dorohucza syncline /Pig.l2,2B/.
