In Appendix I is given a list of books, for the most part in English,
having reference to the quantum theory. The standard work on the
subject is Sommerfeld’s treatise on Atomic Structure and Spectral Lines.
The beginner may prefer a more popular account such as that given in
... i - the books by Andrade, Clark, or Oliver Lodge. Reiche’s Quantum Theory
is a very useful book, and special mention must be made of the invaluable
