were photographically reproduced, as it is advisable in practice. 
The procedure was as follows. - Figure №. 6. 
On a white frame, where the mosaics were centered one 
by one, the following data were set out: 
The name of the job - FOTOPLANO DO RIO ZAMBEZE-- 0 n the 
top. 
The number of each controlled mosaic - e.g, XXI -19- 
on the right upper corner. 
The graphical scale - l/lO.OOO - on the bottom margin. 
^he geographical coordinates on the corners. 
Date and scale of photography, aerial camera characte 
ristics, date of execution and name of both departments involved, 
were drawn on the free spaces of some of the outer mosaics. 
A Barcro reproduction camera was used and the scale of 
the negatives was approximately l/25«000. 
Besides the originals, thus exclusively used for of 
fice work, the M.F.P.Z. was supplied with two complete collections 
of mosaic reproductions, one at l/l0,000 and the other at 1/20.000, 
Some alternating rectified prints, unnecessary for the 
mounting, were also supplied in advance so that the field work might 
begin without further delay. 
The set of reproduction negatives will enable the quick 
supply of whatever controlled mosaic is needed in the future.
