The Wild B9 Aviograph (Fig.3) is a compact, desk-top platter 
designed especially for detail compilation, based on the 
mechanical principle with rigorous reconstruction of the 
exposure rays and using the same reduced, corrected diaposi 
tives triangulated in the A9. The neu models of the B9 are 
equipped to plot from reduced uide angle photography as well, 
thereby providing the A9/B9 system uith an interesting 
flexibility. 
The general design of the B9 is similar to that of the Wild B8 
Aviograph uhich has been described (6), except that the 
pictures are placed in the so-called negative position. A base 
frame carries a flat, polished stone slab on uhich the drauing 
paper is laid. The back uall of the base frame carries a base 
tube uhich can be inclined representing the common tip Lj) and 
on uhich the platting cameras are supported. The cameras are 
moved symmetrically for the crank-operated base setting.
