ants to alter or interfere with the results. Therefore no doubt can rise about the com
plete objectivity of the results to which this report is referring.
These fair declarations stated in advance, as an official recognition of a praise
worthy and generous spirit of scientific and technical collaboration, this Presidency
declares that the responsibility of the results is and remains also in the drawing-up
of the report of the different centres that have executed the work; therefore, they are
personally called to describe directly and under their own responsibility the proceedings
they followed and to analyse the results reached with their own work.
The fact that such a renounciation lessens the importance of the work carried
out by the Presidency of the Group should be of no consequence at all.
The task which the Presidency has up to now tried to achieve was to stimulate
the research, coordinate the work and insert it into schemata as uniform as possible,
always aiming at increasing the practical application of the experimental researches.
Therefore, it is in view of this utilization that the work of the Presidency will
be guided in this ultimate phase, in order to collect all data, facilitate the interpreta
tion of the results and, therefore, widen the general technical information.
