to the worse and we had particularly unfavourable meteorologie conditions up to 
the end of October. 
Flights were effected profiting of the brief intervals when meteorologie condi 
tions were less bad and thus were fractioned over a long period of time. 
We effected two separate surveys, one called « high flight » from constant 
absolute height, which was between 4850 and 4900 m, and the other one, called 
« low flight » from variable heights included between 3250 and 3600 m, according 
to the land elevation. 
During the high flight we effected nine strips, marked out with letters from A... 
I ; six from east to west or west-east (filling strips) and six from north to south, or 
south-north (setting strips) ; the latter are situated at the borders and at the centre 
of the polygon. Ann. n° 7 shows the distribution of the photographs taken. 
The low flight consists, insted, of fourteen strips, identified by letters from a... 
p, nine of which filling and five setting. The distribution of photographs is shown in 
ann. n° 8. 
Table n° 1 shows the dates when the various strips were effected and their 
relative flight height.
