Der Bedarf an Karten und ähnlichen Vermessungsergebnissen für eine
Vielzahl von technischen, wirtschaftlichen und administrativen
Maßnahmen hat überall weiterhin zugenommen. Bei Auftraggebern und
Benutzern solcher Unterlagen hat sich die Erkenntnis durchgesetzt,
daß dieser Bedarf nur durch verstärkten Einsatz der Photogramme
trie gedeckt werden kann. Daraus ergibt sich für die Photogramme
trie die Forderung nach einer Rationalisierung der Auswertetech
nik durch Verwendung von noch leistungsfähigeren Auswertegeräten,
Beschleunigung des gesamten Produktionsablaufs und Einführung
neuer Darstellungsarten für die Ergebnisse. Auf diese Ziele waren
die instrumenteilen und methodischen Entwicklungen in der Periode
1964 - 1968 gerichtet. Die Au snutzung der technischen Möglichkei
ten der Automation stand im Mittelpunkt der Bemühungen. Als ihr
hervorragendes Ergebnis ist die weitere Ausgestaltung der Ortho-
photographie und deren Einführung in die Praxis in mehreren Län
dern anzusehen.
Everywhere the need for maps and similar results of surveying
which are necessary for a multitude of technical, economical,
and administrative measures has continued to increase. Clients
and users of such products are well aware of the fact that this
demand can only be met by an intensified application of photo-
gramir.etry. This in turn necessitates further rationalization in
photogrammetry brought about by the use of even more effective
plotting instruments, by acceleration of the entire production
process, and by new ways of representing the results. These
were the aims of the instrumental and methodical developments
in the period of 1964 to 1968. To profit most effectively by the
technical possibilities of automation was the central problem of
all efforts. The most striking result is the further development
of orthophotography and its practical application in several
countries.
