Albert L. Nowicki
ABSTRACT
The purpose of the paper is to indicate the progress made in the last
four years since the Lisbon congress meeting; to call attention to newly devel
oped photogrammetric equipment; to discuss the trends evolving in the fields of
automatic, analytic, and allied photogrammetric equipment; and to set the
stage for more detailed discussions by authors of pertinent "presented papers"
as well as experts appearing on selected panels. Assessment of the "state of
the art" and extrapolation to the future are approached from the standpoint of
the manufacturers of such quipment; the research and development community;
the users of equipment; the educators and trainers of those associated with such
equipment; and the pertinent National and International Technical Organizations.
