3.11 Results of Partial Calibrations of Aerial
Photographs
The Oland test field has been photographed repeatedly
with approximately vertical photographs from varying
altitudes primarily by The Geographical Survey Office of
Sweden. The photography has been ordered primarily by
the Swedish National Road Board through Mr C. O. Tern-
ryd. The flying altitude was usually 1200—1500 meters
above the ground. The camera constant c = 153 mm.
Mainly Wild cameras have been used, among those, the
following:
Ag 29, Ag 38, Ag 41, Ag 196, UAg 281, UAg 324, AgR 3
In addition, the Danish organization Geodaetisk Instituí
has photographed the test field with two Zeiss cameras
RMK, Pleogon 2108 and 2118, and another Danish
organization Landmaalernes Luftfotoopmaaling with two
Wild cameras RC 8.
The measurements of the photographs and the com
putations were performed mainly by Mr A. Morón, MSE.
The computations were made according to published
principles, see the references, and using a program by A.
Morón and Dr K Torlegárd. The theoretical and practical
results of the work will be presented herein mainly as
tables and diagrams, showing the most important syste
matic errors and the basic standard errors of unit weight,
indicating the limitations of the accuracy of the photo
graphs (Table 3.11: 1 and Figs. 3.11: 1—15).
