Here F(k) stands for the projective relations 5.1.1 and 5.1.2, and k stands for
the unknown parameters in these relations. This technique has been used in an
Algol-program for the computer CD3200,
A very high degree of sophistication along these lines has been developed by
D. Brown [4] in the analytical satellite photogrammetry, where parameters for
symmetric radial distortion, tangential distortion and atmospheric refraction
also are included in the adjustment. This calibration uses stars as a test field
and the calibrations are made separately for every picture.
