5. THE MEASUREMENT AND TRANSFORMATION OF MACHINE COORDINATES.
Every participant had to measure the machine coordinates of the passpoints and the comparison
points for the three negative -scales and to note them on a special form. He was furnished with
photo-mosaics, where all points could be identified, and forms with the geodetic coordinates
of the passpoints of the first models for the three negative scales. He had to transform the machine
coordinates according to Helmert and to note the transformed coordinates on a special form,to be
sent to the President of the Working Group IV/I in Stockholm. Also the residual point height-errors
