India
The English cameras used in India have been described previously. Filters
used are the 15G (Wratten) and the Minus Blue.
Italy
The four main Italian cameras are the Santoni III, a double plate camera
with each unit tilted 15° from the vertical, the Santoni IV, a film camera, the
AFL-92/A Nistri plate camera (Fig. 2) made by the Italian Auto-Mechanic and
Aero Photogrammetric Company, and the FOMA-93/A Nistri film camera
(Fig. 3). Their chief characteristics are listed in the following table. Another

model of the AFL-92/A is the AFL-92/B, which has a high performance central
shutter with speeds from 1/100 to 1/350 of a second and an OMI Aldebaron
18 cm f :4 - 5 lens. There is also an FOM model 93/B camera which is identical
in characteristics and operation to the model 93/A except that the format size
is 30 x 30 cm. The lens is the OMI Rigel 21 cm f :6 • 3 and the number of exposures
is reduced to 160. The Santoni IV camera is sometimes used in a tri-camera
mount with a vertical left and right camera. The axes of the cameras are sepa
rated by 48°. The Zeiss RMK-20/3030 camera used in Italy is similar to that
described for Germany except that the size is somewhat smaller and it only
takes 180 exposures per loading.
