The compilation of the above mentioned map 1:10.000 confirms the 
importance which is to be attributed to the cadastral map, also beyond its nor- 
mal destination for civil and fiscal purposes. It confirms further ist value as a 
fundamental work of Italian cartography. 
The Administration of Italian Cadastral Survey is very glad in granting 
a sheet of this map to the attendants of the Congress, not only as a cartographic 
sample, but also and specially as a homage of ROME to this important scien- 
tific Meeting as well as to the Delegates of the various countries.

La Direction Générale du Cadastre Italien a rédigée une première feuille 
d’une carte de la ville de Rome à l’échelle 1:10.000, en prenant comme base le 
plan du nouveau Cadastre italien, récemment complété. 
Le lever de ce plan cadastrale a été exécuté au moyen du pro- 
cédé terrestre pour la planimétrie, et du procédé aérophotogrammetrique pour 
integration altimétrique, et pour l’introduction de nouveaux détails plani- 
métriques. 
L'exactitude et l'achévement du plan original ont été a peu près con- 
servées dans la carte 1:10.000, en se servant de procédés photographiques pour
