ELABORATION OF CONCEPTS, NOMENCLATURES AND FORMULA, 
QUANTITIES IN PHOTOGRAMMETRY

In the German lingual literature we have a comparatively strong-based 
system of concepts, nomenclatures and formula since many years. The authors 
mostly act according to this system at their German publications and essentially 
ıt turned out to be very true. 
These terms have been elaborated by a special Commission according to a 
resolution on the third Congress 1930 in Zürich. This Commission, under the 
presidency of Prof. Lacmann, has elaborated a standard paper with much ac- 
curacy, after mature deliberation and in consideration of the terms in the liter- 
ature previously existing, as well as the yet existing standards in mathemat- 
ics, optics and so on. This paper has been edited as German standard paper 
VERM 35 in the year 1937. 
The recent development of the photogrammetry, specially in regard of the 
photogram, demands certain enlargements of the old standard paper. 
For this reason, a new Commission has been organised, which was able 
to submit a new minute of the standard paper in July 1951. This minute from 
which I have unfortunately an utterly limited number at my disposal, I have 
let distribute. 
This new minute has retained the following lines of direction 
1) to fix only the most important things, 
2) to conform to the practice, tradition and the existent literature, 
3) to find out a form mnemonically as advantageous as possible, and to state 
categories of signatures easily to be remembered. 
In consideration of the equal tendences in other countries and respecting 
critical judgements, the new elaboration has been primarily issued as minute. 
If we shall come to an uniform and first and foremost lasting international 
arrangement, much work and co-operation will be necessary. 
BEGRIFFE, BENENNUNGEN UND FORMELGROSSEN IN DER 
PHOTOGRAMMETRIE

Wir haben in der deutschsprachigen Literatur ein seit vielen Jahren auf- 
gestelltes, verhältnismäßig festgefiigtes System von Begriffen, Benennungen 
und Formelgrófien in der Photogrammetrie. 
Nach diesem System haben sich die Autoren bei ihren deutschsprachigen 
Veróffentlichungen in beachtlich grofiem Umfange gerichtet, und es hat sich 
bisher im wesentlichen sehr gut bewährt. 
Diese Bezeichnungen sind nach einem Beschluß auf dem 3. Kongreß 1930 
in Zürich von einer besonderen Kommission ausgearbeitet worden. 
Diese Kommission hat unter dem Vorsitz von Herrn Prof. Lacmann mit
