The systematic errors are relatively small and are of the same
order of magnitude, approximately, as for the measurements.
There is no marked trend in any direction. The mean square
errors vary slightly and do not show a marked trend either.
There is, however, a clear difference between the results of the
interpreter III and the other two interpreters. The mean square
error of the interpreter III is not greater than was obtained in
measuring with stereometer.
The sources of error affecting the horizontal parallaxes (dealt
with in connection with the measurements) will also influence
the estimation of heights. The magnitude and the effect of the
errors will depend on the position of the estimated stands in
relation to the sample areas. In the estimations performed the
influence of these errors can be considered as unimportant.
