Introduction
After the publication of the IV:4-report about June 15th 1960 some additional data of great value
for checks of the accuracy estimations of IV:4 from y-parallaxes have been received from IV:1 and
[V:3. The results of the comparisons are demonstrated below.
Sub-commission IV:1 (Monti di Revôira).
[n a message dated Aug. 2nd 1960 the Secretary of IV:1 among other things sent a detailed compari-
son between the mean square values of discrepancies in x-y- and z-coordinates for 15 models from the
controlled tests Monti di Revóira (9 models from the R.C.5a- and 6 from the R.C.7a-camera) and the
mean square values of measured y-parallaxes in 15 points of each of the models, referred to the
[V:4-report. In the table p. 28 of the IV:4-report the results from IV:1 represented averages of all
tested models. y-parallax measurements for IV:4 had been made in a limited number of models only.
Therefore a comparison between the results from IV:1 and [V:4, referring to identical models as
demonstrated below, must be more correct.

Sub-commission IV:3 (Rentrew)
In July 1960 the IV:3-report (the May issue 1960 of the Canadian Surveyor) was received by IV:4
and comparisons between the results of IV:3 (checks from geodetic measurements) and IV:4 (checks
from residual y-parallaxes) could be made.
