PHOTOGRAMMETRIC ACTIVITIES IN IRAN 
A) AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY 
A new coverage of 1:20,000 scale was started in 1965 and completed in 
1971 (except the upper region of Damavand mountain, which is the highest in 
Iran at 5,700 meters above sea level, which will be covered during 1972) The 
intented use of this cover is for Land Reform mapping and other purposes. 
Five aircrafts (D.C. 3 sand Aero Commanders) are currently employed 
to provide aerial photography at scales ranging from 1/4,000 to 1/30,000 con- 
nected with numerous development projects situated in all parts of the country.
