CHAPTER I
AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Eight metric cameras were bought in the period reported. The 23 x 23
cm format and 153 mm focal lenght was the most usual.
It was reported only one super wide angle camera but there is increasing
interest for these type of lenses.
Two organizations are trying sets of four 70 mm format cameras for - -
photointerpretation purposes, using multispectral imagery.
The use of color photography has increased mainly in photointerpretation
in scales of 1:25 000 or larger.
Considering the rather elevated terrain of the country, nine of the twenty
aircrafts in use are Riley Rocket (Cessna 310 modified to have ceiling of
the order of 10 000 meters). The number of photographic planes were -
almost doubled in this period. There are as many planes in private com -
panies as in gobernmental organizations.
Continuous processing machines for black and white or color, are in use
at the bigger organizations.
