activities by the respective reporters,
Much activity and significant development has taken place in all phases of Canadian photogrammetry. The

extensive use of the Lear Jet to fly small scale photography of vast regions of Canada; the increased use of
colour aerial photography and film diapositives; an accelerated conversion from the anaglyphic (optical projection
instruments) to the higher order mechanical projection instruments; an increased usage of the independent model
solutions of aerial triangulation; the completion of the Canada - wide 1:250, 000 map series; the introduction of
orthophoto-based mapping systems, in the development of fully automated orthophoto instrumentation - the Gestalt
Photo Mapper; the introduction of photogrammetric digitizing systems for cartographic purposes, principally in
the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mines and Resources and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and Commun-
ications; the trend toward the adjustment of very large aerial triangulation blocks; an expanded photogrammetric
capability in both the private and public sectors; a continued interest in Special applications of photogrammetry
